The facilitators were excellent, and I truly appreciate their support. This program has helped me view grief from a different perspective, reminding me that everyone faces their own struggles and that I am not alone. I am grateful for programs like this, as they show that help is available. I plan to share this resource with others who may be experiencing grief.

Yolanda M. was designed to facilitate The Grief Recovery Program, and I must admit she was an angel to work with. Her professionalism and sincerity allowed me to feel comfortable and sincere in sharing and participating during a difficult time in my life. I looked forward to meeting with her weekly, because she created an inviting atmosphere.

Going through the 8-week program with Melissa Maskell as my facilitator along with two individuals online has been a blessing in my life and how I approach dealing with the grief I have encountered in my past and current relationships. I have been given tools on how to be kinder to myself and to allow myself to heal properly from my wounds. Melissa created a very safe space for all of us to share our innermost thoughts and gave us permission to allow all our emotions to flow out of our bodies without any judgment or inhibitions in the most healthiest environment possible. Many people have never been taught properly on how to deal with their feelings and emotions whether by society or others around us. This program allows you the freedom to express them surrounded by the support of a facilitator and other individuals you are in a group with. This has been my first experience with the program and I love how well-rounded it is. The book and materials used for this program teaches you invaluable life tools on how to be a good listener for others. It not only helps you focus on your grief but shows you how to be a support to others grieving. We have more things in common than we do differences. Facing your emotions is never easy or light work, but I think it is important work if you want to heal in a healthy way. If you are willing to be honest and truthful with yourself and be open-minded about this heart work, you will come out the other side a better version of yourself for the rest of your life.

I understand I can grieve as long as it takes. I am not weighted down by unfinished business. It is ok to cry.

My facilitator treated us all with kindness, compassion and respect, ensuring everything was understood by all of the participants and making sure he 'held' the emotions of the group. The book was well explained and the homework was challenging in places but definitely worthwhile. He offered one-on-one support outside the group for any of the candidates that were struggling. Excellent work, Phil!

Rex was very clear about how he ran the group and was very inviting in his willingness to address my concerns, even when I felt he either didn't agree or may have been somewhat put off by my comments -- none of which were directed at him.

Because she was unfortunate to have a similar experience she knew all to well just what it would for us to successfully in complete this course. Her empathy, compassion and foresight help guide us through this process.

Both of the Facilitators were understanding, fair and knowledgeable about grief. They shared their own unique stories and gave insight into their own processes of taking the course and the outcome. They knew what they were talking about and showed it each week.
