Testimonials For Support Groups
It has helped me address issues I had about dealing with death of a loved one. Its helped me address and confront misinformation that I had been socialized to accept. Its helped me to alleviate a lot of difficult baggage from my past.

The grief recovery program has made a huge impact on my life and how I approach others. Communication is so important in any relationship you have. I have learned to listen and approach people in such a different way. It has opened up my eyes to another way of thinking and processing. I have felt so much gratitude for this program. It has changed my perspective on “why” people say or act a certain way. I have learned to set healthy boundaries for my current relationships and still allow them grace as well. Resentment stays with you and I have learned to process these emotions with this program. It is so healing and empowering to have such a wonderful program. I feel so much support from Tassy and how she has guided me through this journey. I will continue to work on different relationships using this method because I know and feel that it truly works. I have already seen so much growth in myself and have been able to move forward feeling compassion for others and myself.

Harolene was absolutely wonderful. She was open and honest about her grief journey which was so refreshing to hear in a world full of platitudes about grief. She (with the guidance of the program) explained in detail all of the steps and processes I needed to go through on my grief journey.

He was great at giving the information for each weeks lesson and helped us recognize that though it may be difficult to do, to push through and finish each assignment.

56 years of anger, 85% healed thanks to Grief Recovery and Mrs. Marcella Dias. I highly recommend this class. My attention was captured when I learned that grief is all encompassing not just death focused. I went into the class confused; stuck since the death of my spouse six years ago. However, the class brought out a deeper need for completion with childhood loss. This thought process is revolutionary to me: completion. My thanks to our class facilitator for her guidance and more importantly, for her listening, which is a rare skill to be found nowadays. Through Grief Recovery I’ve learned to handle myself with compassion, and to accept that we are all human. I will be recommending this class to anyone that may need recovery from loss.

Our program facilitator, Brittany Johns, made each member feel comfortable and valued each time we shared with each other. Brittany was open and shared her own grief, and each time we had a homework assignment, she shared an example from her own life. Brittany also made sure that we were able to attend all 8 sessions, and when someone couldn't attend, she'd adjust the schedule, or meet with the person individually. I could see that Brittany cared for each of us and the grief that we experience in life. I'm very grateful that I chose Brittany when I was looking for a Grief Recovery Program facilitator. She was a very good fit for me, and I'm glad that I met her and all of our group members.

The facilitators were both very open with their own experiences which was very vulnerable for them, and also very insightful for us. That was very beneficial as it showed us how to review the events in our own lives.

I had experience with one of them prior to the class ( Deedee ) I did not meet Jaime until the first night. I was quickly able to decipher that she was a person that could be trusted with the information that I was sharing. She was able give me feedback when it was needed . I greatly appreciated that. Both of the facilitators were excellent and I would highly recommend them to anyone.

The fact that Dr. Powell has also suffered the loss of a parent made it so much easier to identify with him - he has more than a theoretical knowledge of loss

I worked with Marilynn Manzutto and I would highly recommend her to anyone. She was kind, understanding and non judgmental. I found her explanations easy to understand. Marilynn is dedicated to the process and it is obvious that she is committed to helping people understand the program. I especially enjoyed her utilizing examples that were relevant to my situation. She has a way of explaining complicated things and braking them down into simple digestible bites. I find Marilynn to be personable and trustworthy. Thank you Marilynn for taking me on this journey of healing and showing me the way. I am forever grateful to you and your commitment to excellence.
