Testimonials For Support Groups
Cindy is amazing! This is a different experience and I welcomed her thoughts, intuition, and guidance through this process. It's not an easy thing to go through but feeling her support and warmth and her validation of feelings that I have never dared say out loud to ANYONE in my life is extremely empowering. Sometimes you just need to be heard and acknowledged. I will be back with her to work on another loss soon and already miss our sessions together.

The facilitators were great. The facilitator I worked with most closely especially. I was able to really see her in action with one of the participants in my small group. She was able to help the person process in a kind and compassionate way and promote the healing process, acknowledging that it was difficult. The facilitators were also open with the class on their own experiences which I believe was helpful in getting others to commit to the mission of the class and to let us know that although the process was hard, it was rewarding in the end.

I just completed the program this week. The feelings of grief will always occupy space in my heart and soul.....However, now I walk and talk differently about my immense pain and grief.

She was very down to earth and not religious, I needed recovery that didn’t involve religion. She has experienced her own pain/grief and was very raw and open about it. This made it easier to talk about what I needed to. I never felt judged or uncomfortable. She is very relatable and honest.

I immediately felt comfortable with Julie. Her approach was empathetic, kind and it was uncanny how she remembered all that i conveyed to her. She must have a photographic memory. I feel like a weight has been lifted and that I can walk ahead alone.

The facilitators were amazing!! Very supportive and helpful. I love that they brought their own experience and post perspective of completing the grief recovery method. They were also very flexible and met with me via zoom when I was traveling.

The facilitator was compassionate, thoughtful and caring. She always made a point to ensure the group was following along in the book and understood the weekly "assignments". She took the time to stress the importance of always being honest with ourselves, respectful of others and listen with an open mind and an open heart. It was obvious that she finds the program to be beneficial and she worked very hard to help us all move through our own journey to find the peace we were hoping to find in the Greif Recovery Program.

I can't say enough good things about Tara Chinnock! She has such a warm and genuine personality, so she puts you immediately at ease. Total confidentiality and a committment to a non-judgemental environment was of utmost importance to her, and this benefitted our group so much by allowed us to be completely vulnerable with each other right away. Tara did a great job walking the line of facilitating and also being vulnerable with her own story when it was appropriate. Knowing she had been through The Grief Recovery Method several times made her very endearing as she could complete relate to the hard work we were engaging. Our group formed such a sweet bond, and Tara was a huge part of that! She is a champion and ambassador for The Grief Recovery Method, and to know she's stewarding her own grief recovery so well gives her clients so much help.

The Grief Recovery Method has been an incredible help to me. Abbie was just wonderful, she explained how the process worked and also shared her own experiences. She was a great listening and also so supportive. The environment felt so safe and intimate. It has given me the tools to help me complete my loss and I know that these tools will help me in the future. It really was a great experience, although challenging but I feel as if a weight has been lifted off me. Abbie listened with such great compassion and empathy and encouraged me so I was able to work through it and was able to talk about painful moments in my life but also good one. Abbie is very committed and passionate about this programme which showed in every session. I would highly recommend it.

My facilitator was patient, compassionate and gifted. She has a natural ability to motivate and encourage one to go deeper and explore those fears that persist. My facilitator walked beside me on this grief journey to a safe and meaningful exploration of my deeply profound and long career. I can now embrace those years with less sadness and feel greater closure and peace.
