Testimonials For Support Groups
I couldn’t have asked for a better facilitator. Judy was very knowledgeable and compassionate and helped me to open up and be honest about personal struggles in my life. She encouraged us and challenged us at the same time. Judy was prompt and professional in answering questions we had in between classes.

I appreciate how Michelle ran our sessions. We had a very nice, comfortable, private room in the back of a coffee shop which was the perfect setting for the small group. She ran the sessions with compassion and really helped us to share our losses. She provided clear instructions on what we were supposed to do each week, along with examples from her own experiences. This process was helpful and effective at learning how to process our losses.

Being witnessed with like minded people, while doing your deepest shadow work is profound. Being guided by Tassy Hennessy was absolutely perfect. her expertise in facilitation allowed us all to go very deep into our healing. I am not quite sure that would have happened with another facilitator. Tassy kept us on track and gently guided us back to presence and healing. she is an incredible facilitator and I appreciated her expertise.

Melody is a compassionate, caring, and empathetic facilitator. She brings her personal experience with grief and the Grief Recovery Method to the class, which made her relatable. In addition to the weekly class, Melody made herself available to meet outside of the normal class time for one-on-one time to listen and discuss my individual grief work. I would highly recommend Melody and the Grief Recovery Method to anyone who is having a hard time dealing with grief of any nature, including the loss of a relationship, but not necessarily to death.

Discussion and Power Point presentation was used accompanied by handouts which reflected the reading and written homework assignments in the book. This was all able to be taken home and used as reinforcement to aid the learning process of the method. Can be easily used again for future grieving problems.

I was almost instantly impressed with the genuine compassion and concern that Roger had for all of us. I was also a bit shocked when he shared his own grief journey and was extremely transparent about incidents and situations in his own life. That fostered an atmosphere for us to do the same.

I have worked through 2 very different situations of grief with Tara. Both sessions, she shared why she uses this method and how it has helped her. She recognizes and shares it might not be one and done, because many people have multiple situations of unresolved grief. She listened so well and was so supportive! I plan to go back and do more work in the future.

We had a very small group which was nice and the facilitator made us all feel welcome and it was a safe space to share. He was open about his own experience which I related to with my relationship with my dad. He was understanding and encouraged us to push through the difficult part and just try our best. It was ok if it wasn’t perfect. This allowed me to still come even when I thought about not going because I knew I wouldn’t be judged. I’ve grown to really care about everyone in our group.

David is a very caring and gentle person. His approach is very non-threatening (unlike many men I've dealt with) and he makes a concerted effort to ensure that everyone feels welcome and safe.

David made it very clear that no matter how big or small, grief loss is still 100% real. It affects everyone individually different.
