The Grief Recovery Method and Susan Elliott, LPC have truly been a gift to my life. The death and loss of a mother is a pain that feels like it will never go away. Uncovering all of the layers that make up such a loss and the history within that relationship has been a tremendously healing experience. The program is played out in such a way that makes approaching such a mountain feel feasible and surmountable (and relatively quick!). My grief is no longer muddy and mixed with communications left unsaid; it is now clear and pure, an easy flowing river of love for my mother. I am forever grateful and I look forward to utilizing the GRM for other relationships and unresolved losses as well.

Amy personifies being a "heart with ears." She is a great listener, is compassionate and very wise. She helped me tremendously with the unresolved grief I was experiencing following the recent death of an estranged sibling. I'd had no place to put my conflicted feelings or even how to express them until I began working with Amy and the Grief Recovery Method. I now have the tools to tackle other significant losses in my life, how to complete them, and ultimately how to say goodbye. I cannot thank Amy enough!

Since session 1, when Chris began discussing the GRM, I realised that this could be a challenging journey. However, I also recognised that she is a reliable and professional person. As a result, I decided to embark on this journey. After session 7, something shifted within me. I feel as if a heavy weight has been lifted. This experience has been life-changing, and the most important thing is that I now have the right tools to continue working on myself in the future.
