Kathleen Fowler is a wonderful, kind instructor. I am so grateful I took this course. The guy that began the class was not the same guy who finished.

This course has been amazing in helping me deal with my grief. After completing each homework assignment, I couldn't wait to have my next class. I could see there was going to be positive recovery for me once I was through it. In fact after one of my homework assignments I felt a ton of stress leave my body. It was truly like a weight was picked up and removed from my shoulder. I believe God led Denise to me for this recovery.

Ray was leading this group for the fist time and did an amazing job. She was always thoughtful and helped us to listen to each other in a new ways. She modeled the methods carefully and lovingly so that we could really understand how to implement them.

Their willingness to be vulnerable and open allowed me the freedom to be the same. The emphasis on confidentiality and respect is very important in a small community and they made me feel it was safe to speak my truth.

The facilitators were respectful, warm, kind, emotionally intelligent and they made the experience much more fun than I would have anticipated. They were able to be vulnerable when needed whilst also holding space for my experiences.

I highly recommend the Grief Recover Method and my facilitator Rachel Gwilym. Rachel was excellent. I felt very safe with her which enabled me to open up and be vulnerable. She was a good listener, caring, open and honest and had a lovely calming nature. She was also always available to help me with any questions that I had. I have had other forms of talking therapies in the past, however I found that this structured approach worked really well for me. It helped me to remain focused and helped me to uncover emotions that I didn't know had been pushed down. On finishing the program I felt a sense of peace and calm. It's great to know that I now have this knowledge in my toolkit to be able to use again and again whenever I feel that I might need it.

Im very encouraged that I know have a very simple and effective way to process and “complete” some very painful emotions generated by the loss I chose to work on. There is also a wonderful sense of freedom after having dealt and allowed myself to experience the grief and then complete the letter.

Jenn’s facilitation of the Grief Recovery Method provided an essential framework for working through grief during a time that felt unfathomable. Working with Jenn provided a reliable, safe consistent space to work through painful emotions in a healthy, productive manner. My hope was to recognize and honor the tough stuff and stay connected with positives - to learn what I needed to learn and bring the best gifts of the grief experience forward. Jenn created the opportunity for me to realize my goals. She is a gifted, warm, compassionate guide who leads with vulnerability and love

My facilitator was great-she showed by example how to use these tools. She's very empathetic and created a safe space where I felt comfortable being honest to myself, to her, and to the group members about my feelings.

Pastor Steve did a wonderful job explaining each session, week by week. He was dedicated to making clear that this was not always going to be a "walk in the park", that it would take courage and honesty on my part (and probably on his, too). It was a program of shared stories between two people who have gone through similar experiences, while at the same time "different".. I feel like we learned from one another, and that the spotlight wasn't always on me. He let me take the program at my own pace as much as possible; however, I knew that there was material that had to be covered, and that it would require hard work as we progressed week to week. I probably could have "quit" any time, without shame, and that Pastor Steve would heard me out. I never felt pressured to continue, except for the expectations I put on myself to see it to the end. I am so glad that I did, and have the courage to face another day! This program is not a "cure" for grief. It gives us so many tools to help us deal with life as we go forward with hope for the future. There will be more grief and loss down the road . . for all of us, but this recovery journey is a lasting resource for those of us who walk it to the end, as we face the challenges and heartbreaks that will inevitably find us.

The facilitators like I said before were amazing!!! They made this program work and comfortable for us all. They made everyone feel so welcome and they truly showed they cared about everyone there. They would explain the assignments well and break them down so it wasn't so overwhelming I feel that this program was very helpful for me I didn't realize I needed it just as bad as anyone else. Writing the letter I could feel a side of relief inside. I am so glad I did this program and met some wonderful people
