In November 1995, I received a phone call at work that would change my life forever. My dad was being transported to the hospital. He died that day of a massive heart attack. I was devastated. Not only had I lost my dad, but my children would never know their Papa. Three years later, I participated in a Grief Recovery Support Group where I found the tools I needed to recover from the loss and grief associated with the death of my dad.
I am Stefanie Hall, and I teach The Grief Recovery Method®.
I knew from a very young age I wanted to be a teacher. In 1991, I graduated from The Ohio State University with a degree in elementary education. In 2001, I earned my Masters Degree in Education from OSU. I earned my National Board Certification from the National Board of Professional Teaching Standards in 2005. In 2012, I earned a Masters Degree in Educational Administration from Concordia University, Chicago. I am thrilled to be able to combine my passions for teaching and for helping others take the action steps presented in The Grief Recovery Handbook by John W. James and Russell Friedman.
I provide both group and one-on-one Grief Recovery Support Group programs in the Central Ohio area.
I also facilitate the four-session program, Helping Children with Loss, using the book When Children Grieve: For Adults to Help Children Deal with Death, Divorce, Pet Loss, Moving and Other Losses written by John W. James and Russell Friedman, with Dr. Leslie Landon Matthews.
