It's still a lot to process. But the tools that were provided, have been helpful in taking the right steps forward.

I was swirling around (in my head) and bouncing between feeling horrible for not crying and breaking down (isn't that what a loved one should do when they lose a loved one) and anger and resentment at the situation I found myself in. The Grief Recovery Method taught me how to look at my grief (my uncompleted relationship) in a way that settled my anger, resentment and frustration while helping me to 1) take some responsibly for the difficult situation I was in and 2) connect with the good emotions - love, fun, understanding (are those emotions?) that were a part of and will remain in my memory of my relationship with my loved one whom I lost.

Helped with everyday coping with my grief. Has helped me be more present in my personal and professional life. Has eased anxiety, stress, and feelings of being all consumed with my loss.

The GRM will be something I recommend to friends and colleagues for years to come. The framework is valuable in dealing with any loss, but also applies to ongoing relationships that may suffer from incomplete communication.

The program was hugely successful. Although I ended up dealing with grief regarding someone other than who I entered the program for, it was a fantastic experience and I feel so much better.

Program helped me by listing apologies/acknowlegements and helped me with being angry at him for death. Putting things on paper assisted my perspective.

The supportive, hands-on nature of this program really helped me deal with the loss of my daughter. The facilitator was excellent!

The significant emotion I felt and let out while reading my completion letter to Celynn demonstrated to me the power of this grief recovery method in allowing people to let go of the pain, anger, guilt, disappointments, etc. from past losses. I look forward to working on other loss relationships I identified as a result of the program.

Helped me to recognize STERB behaviors, also recognized importance of incomplete communications being "completed" via letters.

The combination of reading and doing 'the homework' and discussing and sharing charts, thoughts, etc. and hearing from others was very meaningful. I don't think it would have been as effective had it been one without the other. Celynn was an excellent guide/leader. -Laura

My brother died on March 26, 2020 of a very aggressive form of Adrenal Cancer. Seeking closure due to COVID I found The Grief Recovery Institute. Today I am in a much better place in regards to my brother and our relationship.

I thought that the reading was pertinent and offered a lot of good information, but what really helped me was actively engaging in my own recovery, and doing the heart work assignments each week. The assignments helped me to dig deeper into my own life and actually see my losses. Now I have the tools to go back and work on each incomplete loss and relationship so that I may live a life with less pain.

It opened my eyes to how important it is to complete our losses in order to live well. I wish I could have learned this as a child, as it would have saved me a lot of heartache. Perhaps you could work up a school curriculum so all students could be equipped with the much needed information your book supplied. Maybe even a course for families with school children, so they are all on the same page.

It offered me more and different ways to look at the grief I am experiencing. That combined with the exercises I was given to complete is allowing me to continue to move through my process successfully.

Gave me a different perspective on grieving for my mother. Helped me process my loss in a more positive way. Wish this was how society as a whole looked at the grieving process. Thank you, Celynn!

By the end of the program, I felt much more at peace. I continue to read about grief (The Courage To Grieve) and found that we did everything suggested which solidifyed the program for me.. This book also mentioned so many uncharacteristic feelings I experienced, that I wasn't sure about these issues when they occurred. (ie: fear and worry, panic attacks, etc). It was helpful to learn these things are common experiences.

I realized I was walking around angry and short with my friends. Celynn helped me to- using your analogy clean up my garden/weeds. I feel a bit better with my relationship with my mother.
