Testimonials For Support Groups
It helped me discover a lot of myself, my grief and loss towards my parents. The assignment helped me to work on the unresolved issues in my life by writing it down and working on my loss history graph and relations graph. surely the techniques will help me to work on my other loss and grief that I have and learn to forgive the, and not to be bothered by it anymore. Thank you to our facilitator and co facilitator they are very patience, and I experienced their true care and empathy. they encourage me by letting me know that my feelings in different grief and loss were normal and its okay not to be okay.

Helped me really dig and confront my grief. I took this years ago but did not really do the work.

I learned much more about the grief process and how it is related to other losses in my life as well. I also feel like I now have other tools to deal with other kinds of losses in my life and how to utilize those tools to help me deal with both past and future losses I may incur.

Rikki and Sally were phenomenal in their approach. They treated us all with dignity and respect. As scared as I was to share my story I felt safe with this support group. I had no idea I could experience a completion to my unresolved grief until I signed up to learn about the Grief Recovery Method through Huron Hospice. I highly recommend this program.

This program is a complete game changer in the story of grief. It is easy to understand. It is clear. Most importantly it works. Feeling scared to get started is normal, its human, it hurts. The hardest part is starting. Thank you Ann Allen for being a source of hope and giving yourself to allow others to find themselves. you are a gentle leader with a heart of gold. I will always be grateful for this program allowing me to close the book on hurt and pain and be fully present in here and now.

This program was the perfect way to acknowledge that I've been going through a process of grief over losses that I had not realized about. Specially my health. The program has now opened the door for me to work on other losses I've experienced and this time do it on my own.

1. Put before me in concrete words & actions steps about which I had a vague sense of being required. 2. Still expanding my understanding and am communication with Jenny about the on-line "alumni" program. 3. Brought me to an understanding "WHY" I had no "USUAL" sadness about the death of my wife SUE.

Overall, Very well although I don’t think the GRM book is culturally sensitive and should have a spiritual component. Also, I don’t think divorce and death belong in the same book.

Taught me new tools on how to deal with grief. It brought me a lot of healing. I’m able to release stuff that I was carrying around. Walk in a new freedom, I didn’t have before Grief Recovery.

This program changed my life. I only wish I had discovered it many years ago. It took the passing of my parents to lead me to this program. If you are willing to put in the work and be 100% honest and open, your life can be drastically transformed. It has truly changed the way I think about grief/loss/hardships. I needed this more than I knew, and I am incredibly grateful. The creators of this program have done an OUTSTANDING job as it is laid out in a way that leads participants to discoveries that were buried within themselves - and then provides the path to recover! The program linked with my phenomenal facilitator brought me to a place of understanding and peace. I cannot say enough about the impact this has made on my life. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!

I did not think I would be able to attend all 8 weeks. But I realized on the 2nd week that this is what I have been looking for and did not know it. I will continue each month to work on one aspect , or relationship where I have experienced grief. The format is what works for me. I liked graphing and organizing my thought in groups with titles. I could easily see where I need work and where I could let go. I do well with compartments. It's when the monkey mind starts jumping all over the place that I get into an emotional crisis. Keeping it in a timeline uncovers how and where I loose traction and go on the skids of grief. For so long I could not even put a name to what was going on with me. It's so clear now. I see that there are so many times and ways that I have experienced grief and did not have a name for it.

I am incredibly impressed. What seemed fairly straightforward was profound. The loss I began this process for was addressed, of course, but the loss I mapped and closed was a deeper childhood loss that I believe has the potential to greatly improve all relationships going forward. The 1 hour a week timeframe was doable, and the 1-2 hours of heartwork (plus thinking time) was also manageable. the pacing and time between weekly sessions was a good fit as well. My GR practitioner, Kylie Martin, was extraordinary. I am really grateful for the learning and growth and closure I am leaving the program with. I highly recommend.

I have been able to recover from, rather than just process, grief that has been with me for decades. This frees up my energy to allow new growth within my existing relationships and to have my heart sing. i was able to identify old patterns that had held me back and mistaken beliefs about what loss actually is. The process allowed me to process to completion rather than just explore the feelings around loss and grief. I am grateful to have had this experience of healing!

The program along with the facilitator Mario Andrade has helped me in numerous ways. I strongly recommend this to others who are grieving or have had some sort of loss in their life. Excellent program and have already recommended it to several others. It’s made me stronger and more confident. I have made more progress with this program and with Mario Andrade than with my months of counseling with a grief counselor. I’m very happy and pleased with my results.

It would be wonderful if the program was pitched to a wider audience. Most people associate grief with just death. The program really addresses how to deal with pain of any kind! Well done!!
