I felt less like I was flaling for a way to feel relief. Before I was grabbing at straws, STERBing and burning out without long term peace. During this program it felt like the process flowed forward rather than a chaotic dashing about.

It was truly a relief to fully recognize and speak about past experiences and relationships that have created so much anxiety, sadness and pain in my life. Working through the program gave me the ability to release and let go of these harmful feelings.

The program has updated my skills that i learned in drug treatment. Very similar tools that i have learned in the past. The book was easy to read and the instructions were clear. I felt that mandy was very careing and considerate of my feelings unlike her co facilitator candace. I also appreciate that mandy has agreed to be available in the future to read any letters i may have.

This program has been life-changing. For years I felt I lived in a thick fog and was barely holding on with my grief. After my first Grief Recovery Method experience I felt the fog lift for the first time since my brother died. I have worked the program many times on different relationships, and am each time so amazed at the results. I feel at peace after, and appreciate the insights The Grief Recovery Method brings to my relationships, life experiences, and myself as well. I recommend it to everyone.

The Grief Recovery Method allowed me to come to grips with many years of suppressed emotions about the death of my mother. I had been avoiding acknowledging the death of my mother. Until I took the Grief Recovery Method training I was unable to talk about her death freely and openly. Louanne was able to teach me how to let go. The person she partnered me with was easy to talk to. Louanne is an outstanding ambassador for the grief Recovery Method training.

The program was exellent! I learned thet grief isn't just about a death. Most people have suffered with grief but might not realize it. I learned that some people want to help people who are grieving but don't have the tools to do so. I also learned some things not to say & how to be a better listener. I will be using the information i learned to help me when i experience other times of grief

It is hard to put into words. The book was easy to read and understand and I found I could relate to the examples. There has been a definite shift in my thoughts and feelings. I am able to concentrate on work and I find myself no longer apologizing if I start to cry or become sad. That in itself is a relief. If people are uncomfortable with my grief, I no longer feel the need to change my behavior or act a different way to make them less uncomfortable.

The program has helped me to better recognize grief in myself and others, and how to be more sympathetic to others who have suffered a loss.

The program allowed me to identify myths and coping techniques that might have delayed the process of resolving my grief. The step by step structure built upon itself to make me more comfortable in exploring and expressing my feelings regarding the death of my husband and also allowed me to identify how to move forward. I was able to feel ready to explore new relationships with people by feeling confident that I had completed the grief process with my late husband. I felt I was prepared to enter a new relationship without bringing the baggage of my previous relationship...both the good and bad. Because of the satisfaction of the first program, I decided to participate in an alumni group session to work on another relationship that was holding me back.

Gave structure to my desire to support my wife in grieving the loss of her mother. Made it so it wasn't me asking her to do something. The requests were made by the program. Helps to see others are hurting in the community, and to know that one is not alone in grief. Self directed program allows for personal acceptance and engagement. Good to conceive of grief/loss completion as an activity that may be needed more than once in a lifetime.
