The loss of my 21 year old daughter in 2005, turned my world upside down. Discovering the GRM, helped to turned it right side up again. As a Christian minister for over 20 years, I realize with all of our talk of hope, faith & love, the ability to cope with grief was greatly lacking. When I lost Ash, I felt alone and at times like I needed to mask my pain from my community because they wouldn’t understand; after all, “I should pray about my loss, be thankful for what I have left, and then move on.” I am a wife of 28 years, a mom of 7, and a co-Pastor. Recently, I became an Advanced Specialist in GRM because I agree with the vision of GRM, “let’s reach as many people as possible.” Grief is not going anywhere. We will experience loss on average every 7 years, as an Advanced GR Specialist, I am trained to help 1 on 1, in a Group Setting, with children that have experienced loss, and even with pet loss. I can help people be ready and be equipped, so that they can live their lives to the fullest, in spite of the loss.
