The last five years has given me a deep understanding of the power that grief and loss can have on someone's life. In 2016 my father died from a stroke and it was only a few years later that my mother would be diagnosed with Leukemia. After a 9 month battle with cancer she died at the beginning of 2020 with my brother and I at her side. After 22 years I left my teaching career to pursue healing for myself, my family and for my community in Nova Scotia. Along with the pandemic, Nova Scotia was forever changed by a violent tragedy in 2020 that we as a province continue to grieve. Since then the world continues to demonstrate a need to deal directly with grief and loss and thankfully The Grief Recovery Method continues to be there for those in pain.
I have been an educator for over two decades and no matter what the role, whether a health consultant, administrator, or classroom teacher my passion has been to meet someone where they are and encourage them to take the necessary steps to achieve their courageous vision for their life. With the support of my wife and children, I have stepped into my Life Coaching career and have not just made The Grief Recovery Method a part of my services, but the heart of my services. I am honoured to be offering this proven method for my Nova Scotian community who understand what it means to have a heart that needs healing.
