My name is Becky Greene and I am a licensed Sw. I received my undergraduate from Wright State University and my Masters Degree from University of Dayton. Most of my Sw career I have worked with children and families. In 2018, I made a career change from working with children and families for over 30 years to becoming a Hospice Social Worker. Through this work of bereavement, I felt I needed more knowledge in an effort to assist families on their journey to recovery.
My journey with the Grief Recovery Method program began in 2020 at a Grief Recovery Specialist Certification training. There are more than 40 life events that can produce feelings of grief. Like so many others, over the years I have experienced multiple losses; the death of loved ones, divorce, pet loss, loss of friendships, moves, career changes, etc. The pain associated with my brother dying 18 years ago, to the death of my nephew by suicide at such a young age of 16. These unexpected losses became complete after my training and opened a door to increased knowledge, understanding and empathy for myself and others who are grieving.
I hope you consider participating in the Grief Recovery Method program that best fits your needs and I look forward to the privilege of working with you.
Also, a huge thank you goes out to The Wyandot County Community Foundation for grant money to purchase books.
