So many people wonder how my journey with helping others with their grief recovery came about. My story starts way back when I was a child. My childhood was very turbulent and I endured mental, emotional and physical abuse. As my life continued on, I like others in this world started piling on the losses. Loss of my childhood dog Snopper. We moved as a child and that was very scary for me in some ways. Loss of my grandparents, family members, jobs, financial losses and the loss of my best friend to leukemia in 2006.

Then in 2010 I loss my little dog Misty and for me that was a huge loss since she was my one constant in life and my best friend. With that loss and the other losses I have had, I felt as though there was not any support to help me through the grief that I was just barley being able to cope with.

In 2012 I decided to leave the corporate world and start working with animals. In doing so I put myself directly in the position of helping others with the loss of their pets through euthanasia or sudden tragic death.  

What I found is that I could be there for them in that moment but there was not any real support for them after their loss and how to work through it and truly recover from their grief. I then started my own business helping others with their grief. I later became certified by the Grief Recovery Institute®. This process works and has helped me tremendously in my own grief recovery along with me being able to help others.
