Our support groups offer a safe, evidence-based environment for grievers to take effective and lasting action, no matter the type of loss experienced. These groups are led by Grief Recovery Method Specialists, trained and certified by the Grief Recovery Institute.

About The Format

This program can be taught once a week for 8 weeks or twice a week for 4 weeks. There are 2-3 days in between sessions if offered twice a week. Each session is approximately 2 hours long. There is reading and assignments in between sessions. New participants can join on sessions 1 or 2; after session 2 the group is closed. GRM Support Groups are not drop in style groups. All GRM programs are confidential, structured and action oriented.


A Note From The Presenter:

This Grief Support Group provide a safe environment for you to look at your old beliefs about dealing with loss, which losses have affected your life, and take actions that will lead you to complete unresolved emotions that may still be causing you pain.

It’s an action-based group that involves reading and writing assignments outlined in The Grief Recovery Handbook – 20th Anniversary Expanded Edition.
It’s not a drop in group. You’ll either do an 8-week group format or you may connect to complete the 7-week one-on-one format depending on your preference and availability.
You will learn about all types of loss and you will chose what loss you want to focus upon.

The Grief Recovery Method is a scientifically tested Evidence Based Program that provides grievers with a tried and true method that has been continuously refined and used time and time again over the last 40+ years, across multiple countries, and in multiple languages, to help them heal from loss(es).

Hi there!

To provide insight into my educational background, I earned my undergraduate degree from Lakehead University, attaining an Honors Bachelor of Arts and Science with a dual major in Psychology and Criminology. Uncertain about my career path, I embarked on a volunteering journey with the Canadian Mental Health Association, which exposed me to the realm of addiction. Subsequently, I pursued a post-graduate certificate in Addiction Treatment and Prevention, accumulating over five years of experience in the addiction and mental health field.
