Hello, I'm Theresa Kelly, and from a young age, I've carried an innate desire to help others, unable to stand by when I saw people in pain without wanting to do something about it. This intrinsic calling led me to a career as a Developmental Social Worker and an Educational Assistant.
As life unfolded, I came to a profound realization – adversity and pain are universal but look different for everyone. This understanding sparked a new chapter in my journey, prompting me to further my education as a Social Worker. My goal shifted from merely fixing problems to helping individuals navigate profound questions like, "Why is this happening to me? Will I ever find joy or happiness again? Why does everything seem so overwhelming now? Will I ever feel normal again? What did I do to deserve this?" My mission became clear: to offer support, uplift spirits, and guide people through the complexities of their pain.
Recognizing that grief extends far beyond death, I became committed to being a support pillar for those experiencing grief in its myriad forms. I embarked on a transformative journey, understanding that grief is a non-linear process with ebbs and flows.
In my view, it's okay not to be okay, but when the time comes to embrace healing, I advocate for the Grief Recovery Method. It's not just a process; it's a restorative experience that leaves individuals feeling empowered and ready to carry their stories with peace and healing rather than pain and sorrow.
Having completed the Grief Recovery Training, I now extend my expertise to those who have faced loss through death, divorce, pet loss, job loss, injury, or any of the 43 major life events resulting in grief.
My life's mission is clear – to help those in pain see the beauty in life again. Through my own healing and grief recovery, I've learned that not only can we survive tragedy, but we can also thrive in the face of adversity.
Based in London, Ontario, I offer a range of Grief Recovery Method programs, from in-person 1-on-1 sessions and online support to grief recovery groups and specialized programs for helping children cope with loss.
