Dr. Mitra Mohamadzadeh
Certified Advanced Grief Recovery Specialist, Author, International Speaker, Consultant, and Expert in Personal Growth and Development
Dr. Mitra Mohamadzadeh’s journey into grief recovery is a testament to resilience, healing, and transformation. From a young age, she faced immense hardships and devastating losses, including the tragic death of her mother, the Iranian Revolution, and the Iran-Iraq War. Throughout her life, Mitra has navigated the complex challenges of emotional betrayals, miscarriage, cancer, and multiple car accidents, among many others.
In 2018, after struggling for years despite the support of psychologists and therapists, Mitra encountered the Grief Recovery Method (GRM). This was a turning point in her life. The GRM not only helped her heal from the emotional pain and sorrow caused by past losses but also taught her how to complete incomplete relationships in her life.
By courageously taking the actions of the Grief Recovery Method®, Mitra moved on and said goodbye to the grief, pain, and sorrow that had been part of her life for so long. Through her own healing journey, she developed a strong desire to help others move beyond the isolation, loneliness, and pain caused by their own losses.
Dr. Mohamadzadeh now offers Grief Recovery services to individuals and communities in Toronto, Canada, specializing in grief recovery coaching and workshops. She works with those who have experienced a wide range of losses—whether through death, divorce, job loss, or other significant life changes.
Mitra’s qualifications include being a Certified Advanced Grief Recovery Specialist. She has also translated key Grief Recovery resources into Persian, including The Grief Recovery Handbook and When Children Grieve, to serve Farsi-speaking communities worldwide. She is the founder and CEO of the Academy of Change and actively contributes to the global mission of the Grief Recovery Method.
