As we continue to address multiple issue associated with the pandemic,  many people are carrying personal as well as collective grief with them . The Covid-19 Pandemic piled on additional grief for many and sometimes it just feels like too much to carry on your own. I can help heal your heart by teaching you the step by step Grief Recovery Method. As an Advanced Specialist I can provide you access to the programs from any safe and comfortable space you choose that has internet access.

It was the death of my husband (my sweetheart for over forty years) that led me to the Grief Recovery Method. The tools I learned however also helped me to review and understand how earlier childhood losses had impacted many life choices I had made. I find that with the Grief Recovery Method knowledge I am prepared to handle and complete new grief that presents in my life.

At the young age of twelve I experienced the tragic death of my mother and I can remember to this day, over fifty years later, the not so consoling comments that were said to me that were well intentioned but were not helpful; in fact, were very painful. This is a key reason that am passionate about sharing with adults the Helping Children with Loss program. I want to help adults avoid saying "the wrong thing" and unintentionally causing children additional pain that can stick with them for a lifetime. I think of this program as learning emotional first aid skills.

Additionally, I help parents that are feeling loss and grief due to the choices that their child makes in their own life that may be unexpected. Learning the Grief Recovery Method tools provides parents an opportunity to complete the hope and dreams they had for a child when it  turns out to be inconsistent with who your child discovers they are. Healing the grief of your lost expectations can allow you to open your heart so that you can embrace and celebrate your child as they discover and see themselves. This program can help parents and families as they learn to be better allies in the LGBTQI community and to their family members.

I provide the following Grief Recovery Training programs:

1. Helping Children with Loss – this is a four week adult group training that is delivered on-line as well as in person.

2. One to One Grief Recovery Method Program – this is a one to one program that currently is delivered on-line and offers individual scheduling flexibility.

3. Grief Support Groups - an eight session in person workshop as well as in person with agreed upon health precautions.
