Lina is passionate about assisting those grieving with overcoming their pain. After taking a grief recovery class, Lina was able to heal from years of physical, mental, and verbal abuse as a child. Additionally, she was able to reclaim her life back after years of masking conflicting emotional feelings due to unresolved grief after her brother was murdered in 2007. Lina believes that often times our condition causes us to forget our true purpose in life. In reality, our positions can change our conditions. We are fearfully and wonderfully made. We should change our mindsets about being a survivor (outliving a situation) and learn to become more than conquerors in every situation.
Lina is an author, compassionate leader, inclusive partner, and experienced grief steward. Lina is committed to this life-long journey of helping others overcome their pain as a result of loss, she became a certified Grief Recovery Specialist in 2015 and an Advanced Grief Recovery Method Specialist in June 2020 (Richmond, VA). Lina facilitates grief recovery classes (1:1 and group sessions; Helping Children with Loss) in a nurturing and safe environment, while providing the necessary tools for recovery to those dealing with incomplete emotions (including anxiety and depression due to a death, divorce or other loss).
Lina holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Management, with a concentration in Leadership; and a Master's degree in Human Services Counseling with a concentration in PTSD, trauma, and grief. Lina has over 20 years of experience in the insurance industry and is a senior leader at a Long-Term Care Insurance company. Lina is a Crisis Interventionist with a concentration in grief and loss. She is the Founder and President of Forever Healed - a 501c3 non-profit, whose vision is to continually help people recover from the impact of death, divorce, and other losses and to help them bridge the gap between the feelings of despair and healing.
Lina facilitates The Hidden Cost of Grief in the Workplace to corporate organizations and churches. Within Richmond, Lina oversees the youth ministry and contributions to the intercessory team and ministerial staff at her church. In July 2017, Lina was licensed as a Minister of the Gospel.

This program is for people who prefer to work one-on-one rather than in a group setting. The 7-session format utilizes the same proven materials as the group programs and can be completed in-person or online with a Grief Recovery Method Specialist specifically trained to help people move through loss with dignity and respect.
