Hi, I'm Kirsten, a CCF Transformational Life Coach and Retired Police Officer. Like you, I have walked the path of loss many times. Death of loved ones and colleagues. Divorce. Miscarriage. Each time I used the only tools I had ever been taught...to be strong and grieve alone. I accepted each loss and moved on. Or so I thought.
In 2016 I found out I was adopted. It was a heart-breaking, soul-shifting moment. I felt like I had lost my identity and it brought back the sadness, resentment, and pain of previous losses I thought I had dealt with. Intellectualizing grief had given me much understanding, but very little emotional recovery. The impact of all this unresolved grief was that it accumulated and limited my capacity for happiness. The Grief Recovery Method®️ gave me the tools I needed to resolve the incomplete losses in my life and create the closer connections I always desired. As an 18-year police veteran, I know how to hold space for people that are experiencing difficult situations and listen so that they feel heard.
I believe we are meant to live life emotionally free and open to possibility. We all need someone who is willing and able to hold this space for us. It would be an honour to guide and support you on your journey. I currently offer one-on-one and group grief recovery support in the Oakville, Burlington, and Hamilton area. I also provide presentations to companies and organizations who are looking to support their staff.
