Ashley Mielke is a Registered Psychologist, Grief Coach, Advanced Certified Grief Recovery Method Specialist, and the Founder of The Grief and Trauma Healing Centre Inc., a multi-location group practice in Alberta, Canada. After 11 years of leading her team, Ashley sold her business in 2024 to return to her true passion—helping women transform their grief after suicide loss.
Ashley is also a Certification Trainer for The Grief Recovery Institute, as well as a thought leader, speaker, and consultant on grief. Ashley is currently a Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) Candidate at California Southern University studying the key factors that promote post-traumatic growth in adults bereaved by suicide. In 2021, Ashley was honoured to be named as one of Edify’s Top 40 Under 40 for her work in the grief community.
Ashley found her passion early in life following a difficult childhood overshadowed by her father’s substance abuse and eventual suicide. Surprisingly, Ashley came to discover that her darkest and most painful period of life, was in fact, the very catalyst that uncovered her “WHY” for being: to serve others and create a safe space to explore life’s most challenging questions. Ashley is a heart-centred and purpose-driven leader who instils hope and healing through her story of resilience.
Ashley’s greatest empowerment comes when she is able to connect with others and help them find the resilience of hope that can empower them—the hope that can only be found in the midst of great challenges and journeys through grief.

This program is for people who prefer to work one-on-one rather than in a group setting. The 7-session format utilizes the same proven materials as the group programs and can be completed online with a Grief Recovery Method Specialist specifically trained to help people move through loss with dignity and respect.
