Hello! I am April Owens and I took my first Grief Recovery Method journey in 2007 in which my life indeed was changed forever! There is not enough space in this bio to express just how much it changed my life and how grateful I am to have learned the Grief Recovery Method. I've used my GR tools ever since. I began my GR journey for my divorce in 2006 however by the end of my group sessions I realized I was in more grief over the party all the time gal I used to be when I was married and I married very young at age 19. I realized I was actually in grief and inner turmoil over my old lifestyle of the bars and clubs every night and having to leave behind a less responsible life and enter into a more mature and responsible life. Cleveland, Ohio is my hometown although I have lived in many cities along the way such as Raleigh, North Carolina, Columbus, Ohio, Canton, Ohio and Las Vegas, Nevada. I love meeting new people and experiencing different cultures and their ways of doing things. I love to travel when I can. In my city, I am a licensed Community Health Worker, Certified Lactation Consultant, Birth Doula. I am also a Facilitator and Coordinator of Centering Pregnancy Group Prenatal Care at University Hospital Rainbow Babies Women and Children's Center and Life Coach. The greatest of all I am a proud mother of three magnificent sons and a phenomenal daughter. I provide Grief Recovery Method education in the Greater Cleveland Area for both group sessions or one on one sessions for adults.
