I have used my educational knowledge to help and instruct students (young and adults) throughout my career. I have established myself as a respected authority in administrative and organizational leadership, group dynamics, and health education. However, my commitment to my profession as a grief recovery method specialist is best characterized by my own experience with loss and death. The trauma and emotional pain after my father died in 2015 was excruciating. Then, in 2024, I abruptly lost my job following a divorce and rehoming our dog, Bella; I was left to be my teenage son's primary provider while also struggling with deep sadness. I discovered the Grief Recovery Method—a methodical strategy that assisted me in navigating the difficult emotions and difficulties of her loss—because of these life-changing events. (And believe me -- there was a lot more to unpack; the weight of those heavy boulders was bringing me down.)
I am committed to helping adults deal with the intense suffering that comes with losing a loved one to death, the pain of divorce, as well as other major life transitions. As an elementary educator, I want to help families normalize "grief" and offer support for healing, especially giving parents and caregivers tools and resources to support those children. Organizational leaders, who are themselves grieving or supporting workers experiencing grief, can also gain clarity and heart through the Grief Recovery Method. A sympathetic and caring grief recovery specialist, I deliver a special combination of personal and organizational dynamics. I earned a master's degree in educational leadership and am completing a Doctorate in Education focused on health and wellness. I am also a mental health first-aider, trained to identify, understand, and respond to signs of mental illnesses and substance use disorders.
My profound understanding of the Grief Recovery Method's transformative potential is the foundation of my dedication to helping others. I offer a safe and encouraging environment for people to explore their sorrow, communicate their feelings, and discover a way to heal through a process. My strategy is based on empathy, compassion, and the useful skills and training I have acquired from the Grief Recovery Institute. I give support and direction so those hurting can move forward with grace and resiliency. I am a resource for anyone trying to negotiate the challenging landscape of loss thanks to my special fusion of professional knowledge and life experience.
