Chris was very knowledgeable about the grief recovery method, she showed real passion for the subject. She was able to demonstrate real empathy for the participants in the group as they struggled with their own unresolved grief

This program has made me aware of my own loss and how to “deal” with it in a positive and reflective way.

This has helped me to look more deeply at the myths that we tell ourselves during times of grief. I am hoping to counter those myths with Scriptures to enable me to better help those struggling with their grief.

I have never met an individual who has such drive for helping others. His understanding and empathy has filled an empty spot in my heart that has felt so alone for so many years… and for that, I am forever thankful.

The programme itself is excellent. The tool to support children - The effect on adults, parents, carers is obvious. The group was a safe space to share and reflect on life experienced losses empowered by setting activities.

Tammy was quick to respond to any query, offering a listening ear and time to think about my needs. Her personal sharing and examples were precise and used to help us forward rather than to draw the attention to ourselves.

I can better recognize grief not only in myself and my children but people around me.

Our young daughter’s best friend, a wonderful little old girl who was a close friend to our family, died unexpectedly. This was traumatizing for our entire family and everyone that knew her, but our daughter was especially impacted since she’d lost her best friend and experienced mortality so intensely for the first time. She had a lot of questions and grief and began struggling in school. We were trying to get her counseling and therapy from several places to find anything that would help, and one of the therapists we brought her to recommended that rather than only getting our daughter therapy, that we (my wife and I) also take this grief therapy group course to help both ourselves and be better positioned to help our kids. We weren’t sure at first if we would have the time or inclination to participate, but it turned out to be a wonderful and helpful experience. Thank you.
