Welcome! My name is Michael Dill, a Retired Army 1SG, and I am located in Oviedo, Florida. Throughout my years of services, I experienced many types of losses. Both of my grandmothers died within 24 months of each other, and I found it difficult to accept the fact that I would no longer be receiving special care packages on my Birthday and Christmas each year, no matter where I was stationed. Two of my marriages ended up in divorce, which left me feeling like a failure. I also experienced the loss of a military comrade to suicide. Most recently, I have been challenged with losing aspects of my quality of life in that I am no longer able to participate in athletic events with my children, I am not able to perform physical activities that kept me fit, and I am not able to assist my wife with certain household activities that require manual labor.

The Grief Recovery Method has taught me how much relief and peace can be found upon completing painful relationships with losses in my life. It has helped me focus on "What Is" and not "What If." For years I tormented myself with "What If' scenarios that subconsciously caused me to harden my heart and to be absent from life. I have embraced the Grief Recovery Method to help guide me through the grief process, exploring things I may have wanted to share and didn't, as well as things I shared that could have been expressed in a more loving and caring manner. My communication style, and lack of communication, contributed to the challenges I have faced while trying to embrace loss and work effectively through the grief process, seeking a place of Peace and Acceptance.
