Paula Coombs is committed to making a difference in the lives of those searching for meaning, purpose and hope after the experience of loss. She provides an empathetic and safe space of support for processing various forms of grief, as grievers learn to embrace tools that will effectively and powerfully change the trajectory and narrative of their life towards peace and completeness.
Paula can personally attest to the benefits of the Grief Recovery Method (GRM) in herself, as well as for participants she has guided through the process. She recognizes GRM as a key component for change in an individual's life, with the possibility of experiencing genuine, lasting happiness as a result.
Paula provides virtual GRM services across Canada and the United States. She offers in-person GRM services one on one, as well as group sessions in the Greater Toronto Areas (GTA).
Paula's own journey has been full circle for her as she realizes the significance of her own life choices and the interconnectedness with her calling to help others. Beginning her studies in nursing, she then changed course to become a Registered Massage Therapist. She has worked as a Financial Advisor and more recently in Crisis Counseling offering transitional support for Women who have experienced Violence. This varied career path led Paula to a deep understanding about the common threads of life, specifically that there are many facets to grief that affect our feelings, decisions, how we embrace emotion, and how we recover from adversity. After working through her first relationship graph on a significant family member, Paula experienced a true and lasting freedom as she let go of the false hopes, dreams, and expectations that were holding her back, and found an even greater clarity about her own self-worth and value, irrespective of any external validation.
As a strong believer in continuing education, she plans to further her studies by pursuing a graduate degree in the advanced field of Psychology. This will afford her the ability to provide an even greater level of support to a larger group of grievers. She is excited and committed to reach as many individuals as possible, and to share the power and hope of living a life that is both meaningful and fulfilling.
