I came to the Grief Recovery Method in 2016 when a close friend died by suicide. The book is helpful, but the power of the program comes from connecting and sharing with other people. I appreciated the step by step process where I felt supported and understood. As I worked through feeling more complete about the past, I found that my current relationships became healthier and more supportive. Unprocessed grief was affecting nearly every area of my life: health, work, friends and family. I started to think of grief processing as an exquisite journey well worth taking. I knew it was something I wanted to share with as many people as possible. I have personally been through the loss of a parent as a child, divorce, loss of a pet, loss of community and struggles with chronic illness.
We grieve not only during death and divorce, but during loss of any kind. Loss of hope. Loss of safety. Loss of trust. This pandemic has brought us the opportunity to take a look at our priorities and relationships through new eyes. We have lost many familiar patterns. We can support you on your unique journey to what will be the new normal for you.
I have recently moved near Hagerstown Maryland. I will be offering online Zoom group starting June 4th. I'd love to connect with you for a free initial consultation.
