I am Geralda Aldajuste, a grief, financial, and end of life specialist that educates struggling individuals to develop a plan and harness the tools and resources they need to grasp their inner values and release power from their lowest point in life to their highest peak of recovery.
I have a B.A. In Psychology from College of St. Elizabeth in Morristown, NJ, Degree in Mortuary Science from American Academy McAllister Institute of Funeral Service in New York, and Masters of Divinity from Drew Theological Seminary.
I have worked as a funeral director for approximetely 21 years and also worked as a Death Investigator/Bereavemt Counselor for the Middlesex County Medical Examiner's office for approximetely 12 years. I became a certified grief recovery specialtist approximetely 6 years ago and truly believe in helping as many as I can towards recovery.
I came to the program after my mother passed away in 2013. Her death from cancer, which went so quickly after being diagnosed really devasted me. The fact that I was her daughter and nothing else or credentials in that moment mattered. This program allowed me to deal with other losses and the death of my father which occured when I was in college. Losses that I had repressed and needed to heal from. Throughout this program I was broken down and brought back up with new discoveries of life.
Even as I currently help others on this journey I am also an Associate professor teaching funeral courses at a local county college.
