I've been through a grief program in the past, but this process went above and beyond in moving you through every part of the healing process, emphasizing the importance and the value of each step along the way. I would highly recommend The Grief Recovery Method.

I don't think this is on the program or the facilitator, but one person in my group had a very hard time tracking and following the steps of the program. It made it challenging for me to engage in listening in a meaningful way. As for me, I had never thought about the fact that I didn't grieve the loss of my father because our relationship was so bad that I just didn't care. As I started the process with another loss in mind, it became very obvious that I needed to work through the completion process with my father first. I am only a few days out from my last session so I am unsure of how it will change my perspective long-term. For now, I feel lighter and for lack of a better word, complete, regarding my father and the grief over his death and loss of hopes and dreams of a close father-daughter relationship.
