Testimonials For Susan Pollard
The program helped me identify some not so obvious losses in my life. It also helped me to realize and understand the idea of wanting a relationship to have been different, better or more affects my ability to move through my grief. The exercises culminating in the completion letter were very beneficial in helping me voice my part in my relationship with my son who died and to make my apologies, to forgive and to say things I needed to say.

It made me understand the grief process. I now have knowledge not to expect too much of myself.

I liked the structure with in class information, time sharing with partners and some reading and homework each week. It was manageable. While it brought up many emotions and was not always easy, I was motivated each week to join our group and continue on our journey together.

Everyone has loss and grieves in many different ways. This process taught me that their are right and wrong ways to grieve and right and wrong ways to talk to grievers. There are many kinds of loss, not just the death of a person but a relationship; pet; faith and even health. I started on this journey grieving the loss of my health but further dug into my grief and found I have to start with something else first. This process helped me through this grief and has allowed me to move on from the grief that was holding me down. Now, through this process I can approach the next loss and work though it. Thank you Grief Recovery Method
