Testimonials For Faydene (Faye) Dumph
I have experienced losses in my life that have deeply hurt me and have affected my daily life. I have never done counseling of any kind, and I was skeptical of the Grief Recovery Method. This method, taken step-by-step and with attention and time, has made such a difference in how I view the loss of my dad now. Faye encouraged me to do the work and to take time with my thoughts and emotions. With her encouragement and patience and the clear direction and guidance of the Method book, I feel that I can move past the pain of the loss of my dad and all the unfinished communication and remember our whole relationship. I have someone else with whom I have a painful relationship. I am going to start my relationship graph for her soon. This is a method that I can use for the rest of my life.

This program (and Faye Dumph) helped me forgive, and let go. I'm sad about the loss, but I also know it cannot be changed, but can be forgiven. And I can move on and live life without guilt. I deserve to be happy, and healthy without the guilt I've been carrying for 2 years.

It detailed and explained how to work through your grief instead of bury it. Faye is an incredible human being and if it wasn't for her patience and understanding of the program I probably 2ould have quit after the first couple weeks.

This program helped me get in touch with my feelings and deal with feelings I didn't realize I had. I didn't think I needed the program, but I discovered I did.

The program provided a lot about which to think. First, the definition of grief was a very inclusive and a different perspective, causing me to identify many incidents of loss/ grief during my life. The presentation of myths and STERBs helped me to identify behaviors and feelings that I had unknowingly experienced or done. The Loss Graph and Relationship Graphs were extremely helpful in identifying specific losses and then in guiding my focus to one particular loss. Categorizing my thoughts under apologies, forgiveness and significant emotional events was a very good way to organize my thoughts for the completion letter. The final chapters furnished me with sequential steps, providing a way to identify and take action to finish my incomplete communications. The journey through the program was very emotional, with the realization that I had buried many feelings and incomplete communications. At the completion of the program. I felt relieved to have identified and addressed those previously buried thoughts and feelings. I do feel a sense of completion.

Though my grief will never go away the GRM has helped me at least feel that things have been “settled” with Jim. I don’t worry that he knew I loved him or that things were left unsaid. People don’t realize how important that is to someone.

This program has really helped me with learning to healthily grieve over the loss of a very close pet, and in the process how to identify and understand different losses in my life in general that have intertwined with my grief for this pet. I would really suggest this to other people even if they don't think they might need it it let me see how people told me to grieve rather than how I really needed to personally grieve.
