This program has given me several tools to use if I encounter a student who has experienced a loss or are grieving. It has helped me to think more about what the student may be going through, and to remember that not all people experience grief in the same way. It will also help me to give support to my own children if they go through a loss.

I will use what I have learned to help my family, friends, students, myself, my future kids, and others process grief in a healthy way. I will no longer say any of the "comforting" but overwhelmingly unhelpful myths that are typically said when there is a loss. I will try to educate the ones around me about what I have learned in order to hopefully change many people's mindsets on grief and coping with loss.

This program opened my eyes to situations in my own life that I didn’t even know had affected me. It made me realize why I behave and respond to different situations the way I do because of previous experiences. I feel further prepared to handle situations and comfort people who are dealing with loss because of this program. As a future educator, I felt the information presented during the program is essential for my future career. Truly I think everyone, no matter their career, should go through this program. I am very grateful for what I have learned, and know I will be a better at my job because of this program.
