After my son and daughter were born, I found myself easily triggered—quick to anger or tears and weighed down by the constant pressure to keep everything together. I loved my children deeply, but I often felt ashamed that I couldn’t fully show up the way I wanted to. I didn’t understand why I felt so overwhelmed.
As I struggled to hold everything together, I began to realize the emotions surfacing weren’t just about motherhood—they were the weight of unresolved emotional pain I had been carrying for years.
I was desperate for help.
A friend invited me to a grief support group. I almost didn’t go because I didn’t think I was grieving. But as I listened to others share their stories, something in me softened. For the first time, I felt safe, seen, and no longer alone.
That’s when I realized I had been grieving all along—childhood losses, emotional absence, broken trust, and the pain of never fully mourning my father’s death.
In that group, I was introduced to the Grief Recovery Method®, a clear and practical process that helped me release long-held emotional pain and begin healing in a way I never thought possible.
Today, I am a Certified Advanced Grief Recovery Specialist serving individuals in Colorado Springs, Monument, and the surrounding Colorado communities, as well as clients virtually across the United States.
For nearly two decades, I have helped individuals complete the Grief Recovery Method® 7-Week Program in both one-on-one and small group settings, including a Pet Loss Support Program. I work with people experiencing many forms of loss, including death, divorce, family relationship challenges, empty nest, and other life changes that often go unrecognized as grief.
What I appreciate most about the Grief Recovery Method® is that it offers a structured, step-by-step process that helps people move beyond simply talking about grief and instead take meaningful actions that lead to emotional completion.
It is an honor to walk alongside people as they move from carrying grief alone to experiencing healing, clarity, and peace.
