Grief and loss are a natural occurrence in our human existence. But what happens to people when they experience grief and loss as an ongoing experience in their daily lives across generations? And what can be done to address such deep and prolonged loss? These are the two questions that have driven me to say yes to the invitation to be trained as a Grief Recovery Method Specialist. Over two decades of program work and community interventions to address the high incidence of infant mortality in the African American communities of Greater Cleveland spurred the asking of the questions. I believe the Grief Recovery Method will be a practical tool to assist families process through their grief and loss to attain some level of liberation. I have a Master of Divinity Degree and a Bachelor of Psychology degree. My husband and I have been married for over 20 years and we are the parents of two teenage young people.
