About Michele: I am a Métis woman and life-long learner who has worked in the fields of social work, adult education, community development, and spiritual care. Grief and loss has been part of my life since my first memory, contributing to the belief that I have become 'strong at the broken places.'
In addition to experiencing multiple family losses in childhood, my world changed forever when my 17 year old daughter died suddenly due to a medical condition. As a result, I experienced a call to companion others experiencing life challenges and joys.
The Grief Recovery Method® has empowered me to complete relationships I wished could have been "more, better, or different." Its application goes far beyond loss due to death, touching on myriad ways we experience grief through change in relationships and life circumstances.
I offer Grief Recovery Method® Grief Support Groups, Grief Support One on One, Helping Children With Loss, and Pet Loss Support Groups. I appreciate opportunities to provide public education about dealing with loss and grief recovery. In addition to my personal experiences in loss and recovery, I bring my education (Youth Care Worker Diploma, Bachelor of Social Work and Master of Divinity) and training to this work, along with a passion for companioning others on the way. I am a Registered Social Worker in the province of Saskatchewan.
