I have been certified as a Advanced Grief Recovery Specialist since 2012 but introduced to the program in 2002 when I experienced a painful loss of my mother, grandfather, and uncle, all died within 2 weeks of each other. It left me totally devastated, nothing had prepared me for so many losses and little was available to help me cope. It helped me understand that grieving is normal and that I am not broken but my heart is broken. It was an extraordinary beginning to a healing process that continues to help me to this day. Prior to the loss of family members, The Grief Recovery Method helped me move beyond other losses, like absent father, my faith, childhood losses, neglect, and abuse. Most recently my daughter and son went off to college leaving an empty nest and our beloved dog of 12 years died. Learning what is incomplete in each loss has helped me to live a fulfilled life. I know what my painful journey was like so I have committed to helping others find their way out of pain.

This program is for people who prefer to work one-on-one rather than in a group setting. The 7-session format utilizes the same proven materials as the group programs and can be completed in-person with a Grief Recovery Method Specialist specifically trained to help people move through loss with dignity and respect.
