As an individual, I struggled with grief because I was brought up to believe that grief is a personal and private matter, not to be discussed or disclosed. My only point of reference was my parents and they grieve by being brave and strong. They also believed that the passage of time can heal a grieving and broken heart. It did not work for me. As a qualified counsellor, I studied grief therapy but felt ill equip to support my clients and was searching for an approach that is more structured and less complicated. These are the reasons that brought me to the Grief Recovery Institute. It is important that I learn to grief, to process my grief-related emotions and manage the aftermath of my loss before I support others to with their grief recovery.
I am based in Hong Kong. I hold a Bachelor (AIPC, Brisbane, Australia) and a Master of Counselling (Monash University, Melbourne, Australia). I started my career in banking and human resources (HR) and therefore I also have extensive experience in HR in the financial services industry. For grief recovery, I offer online support to individuals and groups.
