Hi,
My name is Lucy and I am a certified grief recovery specialist working from Glastonbury, Somerset, UK.
In 2010 my marriage and relationship of 13 years came to an end. I was devasted, it was the most intense loss I had experienced at that point in my life and it was extremely difficult to deal with. Two years later in December 2012 I lost my Dad to cancer. Dads death was very sudden, he died just 6 weeks after his diagnosis.
After 7 years of trying to navigate the overwhelming grief and conflicting emotions I was experiencing, the birth of my daughter and loss of both my Grandparents, all within 10 weeks of each other led me to The Grief Recovery Method. I did the training for myself, knowing that this was something I also wanted to share with others. It’s the best decision I ever made for myself and my family.
It’s an honour to be part of the Grief Recovery Institute and offer this programme. I have experienced first hand the direct positive effect it has had on my life and happiness. It is my wish to help and support as many grieving people as possible on their healing journey to a place of recovery.
I can work with you on a 1 to 1 basis and also in a face to face group programme when they are running. I have completed the advanced training to be able to offer 1 to 1 sessions online.
Alongside the Grief Recovery Method, I also offer the Helping Children with Loss Programme.
This programme is for any adult who is a caregiver of a child. For example, Parents, teachers, and anyone in a position of responsibility of caring for a child.
If you would like to be better equipped on how to communicate with the children in your care about a personal loss of any kind, this programme gives you the specific tools and step by step actions to take to support them.
It’s designed to help children learn how to
Listen to their emotions
Handle difficult emotions
Listen and help others
The Helping Children with Loss programme is ACE’s (Adverse Childhood Experiences) informed and uses the same principles as the evidence based Grief Recovery Method. It has been adapted for use with children of all ages and ability level.
It is run as a group programme over 4 consecutive weeks.
To find out more about any of the programmes I run, please contact me to book free consultation so we can discuss how I can help and support you. I look forward to hearing from you.
