Hello and welcome. My name is Lola, thank you for visiting my site. In 2012 my doctor informed me that I would not be able to have children. I was in denial and angry. In 2014 I had a hysterectomy. I was furious, heartbroken, mad at God, and my attitude was negatively impacting my quality of life. An acquaintance told me to get counseling. In 2018 I met with our agency Chaplain who exposed me to the Grief Recovery Method (GRM). I planned to complete the pain related to infertility; however I completed the painful memories of childhood rejection.
In November 2021 I became a Certified GRM Specialist. In April 2022 I obtained an Advanced Certification to provide virtual GRM sessions. I am offering 7 one on one sessions (in person or online) and 8 group sessions (in person).
I have been a licensed social worker for 21 years. My areas of expertise include: child welfare, residential and out-patient chemical dependency counseling and education; foster care, reunification, and adoptions services; adult, adolescent, and family mental health counselor, medical and hospice and social work, behavioral health hospital social worker, grief recovery, trauma informed care, faith-based and spiritual counseling.
