Hello, my name is Jennifer Robinson and I welcome you to my GRM website. Grief can be such an isolating experience, so the fact that you are reaching out for help is an important step toward healing. I want to share a little bit about me and my personal grief story.
My first memory of loss started at 5 years old when my great-grandfather died. I couldn’t understand what it all meant at that time, but I knew we couldn’t visit the nice man who snuck me cookies anymore, and I missed him. After a few car accident-related deaths while in high school, I lost three grandparents to cancer within 6 months during college. I ignored my grief for a long time, went to therapy for a bit, and read a large variety of books, but would find myself unexpectedly crying when a memory would pop up or during certain holidays or birthdays. I tried to move forward but there were still feelings of being held by those emotions in the back of my mind that I couldn’t move past. After losing my dad in 2020, I learned about the Grief Recovery Method.
The Grief Recovery Method has changed my life and I would love to share this program with others who may be hurting. GRM addresses all types of loss as well, not just from death but divorce, or loss of trust or health, or other feelings of pain in our lives. I am passionate about healthy grieving and relationship development, primarily as it pertains to family, chosen family, active military and veterans, and working through our emotions in a safe, supportive environment.
I am located in central Ohio and can offer group in-person sessions, one-on-one support, and pet loss support group. I can also do a presentation on the Grief Recovery method to groups.
