No one is immune to grief and yet many of us do not have the tools to manage grief when faced with it. It is one of the most complicated and misunderstood emotions we experience, and many people are often left navigating it alone.
I discovered the Grief Recovery Method after the sudden death of my beloved mother in 2020. She passed away in my home country of Canada a couple of weeks before covid and lockdowns hit Europe. I wasn’t able to grieve alongside family and friends, nor was I able to distract myself from my grief as the world shut down around me. Significant health loss also ensued. I suddenly found myself with no parents or siblings, in poor health, unable to visit family or friends, and closed off from the world. It was a traumatic and isolating experience highlighting how ill-prepared I was to handle grief. The GRM helped me understand loss and grief in its many forms and to shift my grief to something more positive and less overwhelming. I learned to move forward with my grief not away from it, and I vowed to help others who may be struggling to shift their grief.
The GRM is an evidence-based, action-based programme providing you with the tools and steps for moving beyond loss and grief. I will guide you through the programme and provide you with a safe and non-judgmental space needed to process your grief. As a GRM specialist I hope to empower and support you on your grief journey to recovery and transformation.
I offer 1:1 in-person sessions in London.
