My name is Darlene DeMoss, and I am a retired Army Officer, Licensed Minister, and the CEO/Founder of HBH Recovery LLC, a practice devoted to providing grief recovery and clarity coaching in the Washington DC Metropolitan area. If you are grappling with loss and heartbreak or finding it challenging to communicate with your child about grief, I am here to offer my support. My mission is to guide individuals through grieving and healing after significant loss or heartbreak. I am dedicated to empowering individuals to navigate their grief healthily, fostering emotional healing, and helping them move forward while honoring their loss. It's crucial to process grief rather than try to bypass it.
In 2020, I experienced the loss of my oldest sister, Gera, who courageously battled cancer three times and eventually passed away. She was my surrogate Mom, mentor, and best friend. We shared a home for 25 years. This loss prompted me to seek methods to cope with the grief that was gradually diminishing my joy, peace, and energy. Through the Grief Recovery Institute, I found the resources that enabled me not just to survive but to thrive. The tools I acquired also allowed me to complete my grief process with my mother, father, older brother, younger brother, and my cherished pet Pomeranian of 15 years, Sassie.
My personal experiences with loss and recovery, combined with my training as an Advanced Grief Recovery Specialist, have provided me with valuable insights into the difficulties of grief. This understanding equips me to provide the support and tools necessary to help you achieve wholeness.
I offer in-person, online, one-on-one, and group training in Grief Recovery, Helping Children with Loss, and Pet Loss Support. If you are interested, I welcome you to visit my website and schedule a discovery call to discuss your needs and determine if we are a good fit. I look forward to the opportunity to speak with you soon.
