As a county volunteer in Shropshire, UK, I experience first-hand how grief, through unresolved loss, impacts each of us and our health and wellbeing. I see the effect that the many different types of loss have, not only on adults and children and young people, but also family members, friends, carers, and teachers.
I was first introduced to the Grief Recovery Method when I signed up to train as a Grief Recovery Specialist. I wanted to help people through this step-by-step recovery method with my support – a recovery method that recognises that grief is the normal and natural reaction to loss of any kind.
During my training however, I realised that I was holding on to unresolved grief myself. So, before I could help others, I had to help myself. Using the Grief Recovery Method, I have personally resolved emotional losses that I had supressed for years. It enabled me to heal, find peace and acceptance without the pain – for this I am intensely grateful.
Now, I have the tools to deal with any future personal emotional loss. In addition, I have personal experience of the Grief Recovery Method; how it helped me and how it can help you.
Please get in touch if I can help you; if you want to find out more about the Grief Recovery Method, or if you just to have an informal chat.
I am based in Telford and Wrekin, Shropshire, England, UK.
