Helping Children With Loss
Tuesday, Jan. 14, 2025
The vast majority of parents find themselves at a loss when trying to help their children deal with any grieving experience that impacts them. This 4-week program is designed to teach parents, and others who work with children, the necessary tools to help children effectively deal with their broken hearts, no matter the loss they are facing.
About The Format
This program is taught in four 2.5 hour long sessions offered once a week. There is reading and assignments in between sessions. HCWL Groups are not drop in style groups. All GRM programs are structured and action oriented.
A Note From The Presenter:
Helping Children with Loss is a four-week educational workshop designed to teach adults how to support children and young people as they process grief and give voice to the emotionally important things they need to say regarding the losses they have experienced or are currently experiencing. Participants learn the skills, tools, and important language to use with young grievers that validates their feelings and encourages them to talk openly about their grief. This program is beneficial to people who work with children (teachers, school counselors, EA's, youth workers, coaches, daycare providers) as well as those who have children of their own, or grandchildren.
