My name is Robert Earl DeJournett! I was introduced to the Grief Recovery Method in the early 2000's. I served as a volunteer chaplain at Summa Health System where GRM was introduced. I participated as an attendee in a group session which changed my view on grief and grieving. I actually went through the program twice within a 2 year period because the CEO of the health system at the time wanted to go through with a partner and he chose me. GRM has taught me that we all are grievers and need this tool to help us navigate through life recognizing that it is natural and normal to admit that we experience pain, heartache, sadness and joy as we learn how to process our grief and enter into recovery that will allow us to deal with our grief experiences.

I live in Akron, Ohio and have a heart for those grieving especially people of faith in the Black community. I am certified to do groups and 1 on 1 online GRM with induvial who desire this service. I currently serve as Senior Pastor for St. Ashworth Temple COGIC and have a special affinity to assist Pastors and ministry leaders within the church.

I am a lifelong Akron, OH native graduating from the University of Akron in 1985 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Media Communication. I am an ordained Elder in the Church of God in Christ and have a Certificate in Diversity Management in Healthcare (CDM) from Georgetown University School of Continuing Studies.
